VALEN Coalition MP Bekim Qoku has issued a strong statement frontally attacking the opposition and the "impressive indifference" of the mother country over the last two decades. According to him, Albania is reacting today more than ever, while it remained silent about tragedies such as "Monsters" and "The Brave Neighborhood".
Did Tirana "wake up" only when WLEN arrived?
Qoku emphasized that it is ironic how official Albania, which showed total indifference for 24 years towards the Albanians of North Macedonia, is today extremely active in its reactions.
"In none of the tragedies – April 27, Kumanovo, Monstra, the Almir case or Sopot – did we have appropriate reactions from the mother country. At best, they reacted as if they were Denmark," Qoku declares.
The Constitutional Court Scandal and the “Hand of DUI”
One of the hottest points of the statement is the accusation that DUI is using the Constitutional Court as a tool to create artificial tensions. Qoku explains that:
• The current composition of the Court was voted on by the DUI itself.
• The former president of this Court is today a DUI MP.
• The current president is playing a “diabolical game” to fuel the opposition’s nationalist rhetoric.
The Albanian Language and “Inherited Lies”
The VLEN MP has exposed what he calls coordinated propaganda between Skopje, Pristina and Tirana regarding the Bar Exam. He explains that this exam has never been held in Albanian in the last 24 years, and it is VLEN that will correct this injustice.
"The nation and language are not protected in temples of corruption like Soravia or Eurovia. They have thrown ashes in our eyes for 22 years!" - Qoku concludes firmly.
