Pope Leo XIV has called for an end to wars and for working for peace in the world.
"The Church is also charged with the mission of speaking clearly and rejecting everything that degrades life and hinders its development, of taking a stand for the poor, the exploited, the victims of the violence of war. The Church is called to humbly accept the fragility and human transience of its institutions, which, while serving the Kingdom of God, bear the transitory image of this world," the ia underlined.
This call by the Pope comes at a time of conflicts and wars, which have caused numerous victims.
