An incident was reported to have occurred on Thursday in the city of Skenderaj, whereThe head of the Vetevendosje Movement branch in Skenderaj, Hysni Mehani, has claimed that he was attacked by the mayor of this municipality, Sami Lushtaku, who comes from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), and by what he called “his gang.” On the other hand, Lushtaku has denied the attack, while emphasizing that citizens reacted after being labeled as “Sami Serbia.”
Following this case, the Kosovo Police and the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica were activated.
"The Serious Crimes Police are on their way to the scene and in coordination with the prosecutor in charge, all actions are being taken. The police have not yet arrived at the scene and there is still no order to interview anyone," Valon Prenteni, spokesperson for the Basic Prosecution Office in Mitrovica, told "Oath for Justice".
Meanwhile, the Mitrovica General Hospital announced that two people with injuries, one to the face and head and the other with scratches, have sought medical assistance.
