Francesco Pio Esposito wants to "stay at Inter for the next 10 years," the Italian international's agent has assured during a breakout season. "There will be no transfer window for him," he said.

The central striker is a product of the club's academy, where he had previously worked with coach Cristian Chivu.

After an impressive loan spell at Spezia in Serie B, it was decided that he would remain as one of the four strikers in the first team, and he excelled.

He has attracted huge interest from clubs abroad, including Newcastle United and Arsenal, but the 20-year-old is in no hurry to leave.

"Pio is happy at Inter, I think what both the player and the club want is to stay together for the next 10 years," agent Mario Giuffredi told reporters at the "Inside the Sport 2026" event in Coverciano.

"Thinking about the transfer market for Pio Esposito, unless it's the club that wants him, is not something that I or the player are planning to do.

"For us, Pio's transfer market has not started and will never start, because there will be no transfer market for him. He is happy to stay with the Nerazzurri," he said.

Esposito scored nine goals and provided six assists in 43 official matches, which earned him a place in the Italian national team, where he scored three goals in seven appearances.

"I think we've exceeded all expectations for him this season," Giuffredi concluded.

In October, there were reports that Inter were willing to reject offers of €50 million for the striker, aiming to tie him down to a new and improved contract.

His most recent deal was signed in April 2025 and runs until June 2030./Express newspaper/
