A small tourist plane crashed on Monday afternoon in the municipality of Ochlenberg, in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. The pilot, a 64-year-old Swiss citizen from the canton of Solothurn, died at the scene. He was the only person on board.
According to the Bern cantonal police, the accident occurred at around 13:30 p.m. According to a photo published by the media outlet "20 Minuten", the plane was found upside down in a field, albinfo.ch reports.
Several cantonal police patrols, the Goldisberg and Langenthal firefighters, and the SRO emergency medical teams were deployed to the scene. Swiss authorities have launched investigations to clarify the causes of the accident, under the direction of the Swiss Attorney General's Office and in cooperation with the Swiss Transport Safety Investigation Board (STSB).
