A few hours before the start of the plenary session, the police have taken increased security measures due to the protest announced by the opposition, which will take place at the same time as the vote in Parliament on SPAK's request to lift the immunity of Socialist MP Belinda Balluku.

A large police force has been deployed around the Parliament building to ensure order and security during the protest. A day earlier, the area around the Parliament was surrounded by metal barriers as a precautionary measure for the protest called by the Democratic Party.

Democrats have announced that they will protest both outside and inside the plenary session hall, which has forced institutions to impose reinforced security measures.

Footage obtained by A2 CNN shows a police cordon outside the parliament building. Meanwhile, it is learned that socialist lawmakers will arrive early for the session to avoid clashes with opposition protesters, who have been called out at 10:00.

At the same time as protests are expected outside, a strong political clash is expected inside the Assembly hall between the majority and the opposition over SPAK's request to lift Belinda Balluku's immunity.
