Paddy Pimblett achieved the biggest victory of his career by stopping Michael Chandler in the third round with a dominant performance at UFC 314 which took place in Miami, Florida.
Pimblett dominated American Chandler in both striking and grappling, in a clear victory that was sealed by the referee after several incessant strikes on the ground.
UFC commentator Jon Anik hailed the 30-year-old as "an elite fighter" and the win extended his unbeaten streak in the UFC to seven fights.
Pimblett, who is expected to break into the top 10 of the UFC lightweight rankings, sought a top-five opponent after the fight, which was highly regarded as a duel that could determine a title challenger.
"Anyone in the top five, I want the world title. Laugh all you want and say I'll never be ranked, I'll never be in the top 10, but what do you say now, you bunch of mushrooms?" said Pimblett.
"I want Dustin [Poirier], Justin [Gaethje], Charles [Oliveira] or Arman [Tsarukyan]."
