The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Mimoza Kusari Lila, at a press conference after the Government meeting, also spoke about the PDK's request, which requested an official letter for a meeting, regarding the issue of electing the president, reports Ekonomia Online.
"I hope there will be a positive approach, however, so far we have seen continuous efforts only from one side to resolve the name of the president or president. I reiterate that so far there has only been an initiative or a start or an invitation from Prime Minister Kurti, while the Democratic Party, as far as we have all heard through public opinion, is that it is expecting a written offer," she said.
The Minister emphasized that, if necessary, the invitation can be formalized in writing, but according to her, the discussion on the principles and concrete names remains essential.
"If the invitation should be sent in writing, perhaps it can be done, despite the fact that we still need to sit down and discuss the principle of the election and specific names that the Democratic Party of Kosovo can also propose for president of the country. Because we are now in the final stage that the head of the highest institution in the country must be elected before what we do not want happens, that the Assembly is dissolved and the country goes to elections," she said.
