The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, today received the Ombudsman, Naim Qelaj. The announcement made by the presidency states that at the meeting they discussed the current state of human rights in the country and the challenges facing the citizens of Kosovo, writes Gazeta Express.

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received today in a meeting the Ombudsman, Mr. Naim Qelaj. In this meeting, the current state of human rights in the country and the challenges faced by the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo were discussed.
President Osmani emphasized the importance of close inter-institutional and international cooperation to guarantee and promote human rights for all citizens, without discrimination. She emphasized that institutions must be committed to implementing the recommendations of the Ombudsman, as a key tool for strengthening the rule of law and advancing human rights.
The Ombudsman informed the President about the most frequent issues addressed by this institution. Both parties agreed on the necessity of continuing cooperation in order to protect fundamental human rights in Kosovo.
