Victor Osimhen has informed Galatasaray of his desire to stay at the Turkish club, Italian media report.
The Napoli striker, who was on loan at the Superliga team last season, has rejected a huge offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal and is determined to continue his adventure in Turkey - according to what "Corriere dello Sport" reports, via "CalcioMercato".
Now all that remains is for Galatasaray and Napoli to reach an agreement on the transfer amount, writes "Gazeta Express".
There is a €75 million release clause in Osimhen's contract, valid only for clubs outside Italy.
Napoli is only willing to sell the player if this clause is activated.
However, reports suggest that in Turkey some companies are willing to help through sponsorships, to cover part of this clause.
For this reason, it seems like it's only a matter of time before Galatasaray make an official offer to Napoli - meaning any other interested clubs need to act quickly, lest they miss out on the chance to secure the Nigerian.
