The Specialist Prosecutor's Office, represented by prosecutor Alan Tieger, said on Monday in The Hague that the defense presented their clients as having good intentions and motives that were no different from the thousands of people who joined the KLA.

“In one form or another, the defense has presented their clients as well-intentioned, powerless, with motivations that were no different from the thousands and thousands of people who joined the KLA,” he said, reports “Oath of Justice".

The prosecutor said this is an attempt to avoid their true roles.

"It is an attempt to evade their true roles, as pioneers, as founders, as key members of the General Staff, roles that they have repeatedly accepted, or roles that are reflected in many meetings where they have discussed the history of the KLA," Tieger said.

The prosecutor said that the defendants do not admit these actions because they reflect a common criminal intent.

"They avoid these roles, they do not accept them because their actions in these roles using their combined authority as well as individual efforts reflect the common criminal purpose and their commitment to it. Those who believe in their cause and their extraordinary ability to achieve it, they have claimed the right to deal ruthlessly with those who were considered to be hindering the achievement of this," the prosecutor said.

Otherwise, the prosecutor's submissions came after the panel's questions, which were concluded before the lunch break.
