The US says it has struck more than 1,700 targets in Iran since it began its military operations in the country on Saturday, according to an update from US Central Command (Centcom).
Targets hit include missile sites, naval vessels, submarines and control centers.
Centcom adds that the US used aircraft – including numerous fighter jets – as well as missile systems and ships to carry out the attacks.
The update, which provides information on the first 72 hours of the operation, adds that Centcom is prioritizing "countries that pose an imminent threat," the BBC reported, Gazeta Express reports.
