The CEO of technology giant Nvidia, Jensen Huang, has announced that the company will build its first cloud platform for industrial artificial intelligence applications in Germany.
Reuters reports that the new technology will combine Artificial Intelligence with robotics, helping car manufacturers like BMW and Mercedes Benz with everything from design simulations to logistics management.
Huang has also unveiled several plans with a focus on Europe, such as expanding technology centers in seven European countries, opening Nvidia's computing power market to European businesses, helping to develop AI models in different languages, and supporting pharmaceutical research.
"Within just two years, we will increase the AI computing capacity in Europe 10 times," Huang is reported to have said.
And while Europe has lagged behind the US and China in developing AI technologies, the European Commission announced in March that it would invest $20 billion to build four Artificial Intelligence factories.
