North Macedonia will appoint new ambassadors to four diplomatic missions – in Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Sweden and Albania.
Some of the appointees are former MPs, while others are experienced diplomats who have previously led embassies.
According to information from Telma Television, four names were approved about two weeks ago:
Salim Sulejmani, former MP for the Alliance for Albanians (from the side of Arben Taravari), has been appointed ambassador to Saudi Arabia, at the newly opened embassy in Riyadh.
Fadil Zendeli, former MP for the BESA Movement, has been appointed the new ambassador to Denmark.
In Sweden, Ivica Bocevski, who previously served as ambassador to Brazil, will be appointed.
The embassy in Albania will once again be led by Vele Trpevski, who has been ambassador to Tirana before, as well as previously to Australia.
The position of ambassador to Greece (Athens) has not yet been filled, while the name of a director of a well-known public relations agency is unofficially being rumored.
