Israel has carried out new airstrikes in southern and eastern Lebanon, a day after another bombing killed 11 people, according to Lebanese authorities.
Lebanon's Health Ministry described Saturday's attack as a "massacre," saying six women and a child were among the dead. Nine people were also reported injured, including a child.
The latest attacks have been recorded in the southern areas and in the Bekaa region in the east of the country. According to Lebanese media, some of the bombings took place after the Israeli army requested the evacuation of 11 villages in these areas.
Israel continues operations against targets it considers linked to Hezbollah, despite the ceasefire that came into effect on April 17 and was recently extended.
On the other hand, Hezbollah reported that it had launched rockets at Israeli forces operating in Lebanese territory.
An Israeli military spokesman declared that Israel is "forced to act forcefully" against Hezbollah, accusing the group of violating the ceasefire agreement.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Civil Defense announced that one of its centers in the Nabatieh region was destroyed during nighttime attacks.
At the same time, Lebanese authorities have begun direct talks with Israel under US mediation, while Hezbollah opposes these negotiations. /Panorama
