Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced new Israeli strikes hitting Beirut, targeting a senior Hezbollah commander, the BBC reported, Gazeta Express reports.
Netanyahu says he and Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, ordered the country's military "to strike now in Beirut the commander of the Radwan Force in the terrorist organization Hezbollah with the aim of neutralizing him."
In a social media post, he claims that the Radwan force was “responsible for firing at Israeli settlements and injuring IDF [Israel Defense Forces] soldiers.”
Netanyahu said that "the long arm of Israel will reach every enemy and murderer," adding; "that's how it has been done and that's how it will be done!"
