Iran's enriched uranium stockpiles must be "removed" before the US-Israeli war against Iran can be considered over, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview on Sunday.
"It's not over, because there is still nuclear material - enriched uranium - that needs to be taken out of Iran. There are still enrichment sites that need to be dismantled," Netanyahu said in an excerpt of an interview to be broadcast later Sunday on CBS's "60 Minutes."
"Go in and remove it," the Israeli leader said when asked how uranium could be removed.
Asked by CBS how Iran's uranium reserves could be extracted, Netanyahu said he would prefer a deal.
"I think it can be done physically. That's not the problem. If you have an agreement and you go in and remove it, why not? That's the best way."
Asked if there were military capabilities to seize the hidden uranium, Netanyahu said: "I will not talk about our military capabilities, plans or anything like that."
"I won't give a timeline for this, but I will say it's an extremely important mission."
In addition to the unresolved issue of uranium reserves, Netanyahu says there were several other war goals that had not yet been achieved.
"There are still proxies that Iran supports, their ballistic missiles that they still want to produce. Now, we have degraded a lot of them, but all of that is still there and there is work to be done." /Telegraph
