The US is not withdrawing from NATO, despite cutting forces made available to the alliance, and European members are ready to contribute more troops if needed, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said on Wednesday.
His statement, ahead of a meeting of NATO defense ministers on Thursday, came after the US told allies last month that it would reduce military assets committed to the alliance in the event of a crisis, DW writes.
