RCD Mallorca have secured a big 3-0 win over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga, moving away from the relegation zone and recording their third consecutive home win under coach Martín Demichelis.
In a match played in difficult weather conditions, Mallorca struggled in the opening minutes but gradually took control of the game. Initially, Pablo Torre risked a free kick, while Zito Luvumbo scored, but his goal was disallowed for offside.
The breakthrough came late in the first half when Vedat Muriqi continued his remarkable form. The Kosovo striker headed in a corner kick deflected by Samú Costa, giving Mallorca the lead.

Shortly before the break, Muriqi scored his second personal goal, taking advantage of a cross from Luvumbo and scoring the 55th goal in La Liga for the club, with which he surpassed the legend Samuel Eto'o as the best scorer in Mallorca's history in the Spanish football elite.
In the second half, Rayo Vallecano tried to react. Jorge de Frutos and Randy Nteka had good chances, but were unsuccessful, while Mallorca closed the game in spectacular fashion. Just a few minutes after the start, Jan Virgili scored with a volley after a free kick by Pablo Torre, sealing the score 3-0.
