A Kosovar fan has made serious accusations against last night's captain of the Kosovo National Team, Vedat Muriqi.
This fan has called the Kosovar star a half-Turk and accuses him of giving information to the Turks before the game with Kosovo, which took place at the "Fadil Vokrri" stadium, writes "Gazeta Express".
"Vedat Muriqi gave the Turks information and all the tactics on how the game would unfold. He went to talk to and hug all the Turkish players before the game. Even if he had sold the game, he would have made money. Even in Ulcinj, I had him at the hotel, with the whole family speaking Turkish," the fan told Klan Kosova.
And the Mallorca star himself commented on this post and the fan's accusations, and did not mince words.
"Take it. I think that a national team player in a crucial game for his country sells the game just because he was born in Prizren and speaks Turkish, he must have mental problems or be a bloodless, emotionless and disrespectful person for a player who has given everything for the Kosovo National Team," wrote, among other things, the best striker the Kosovo National Team has ever had.
Kosovo was unfortunately defeated last night by Turkey 0:1 in the final of the 2026 World Cup play-offs.
Muriqi, for his part, gave his all, but unfortunately failed to score.
