The Government of Kosovo has approved the initiative for the conclusion of a Grant Agreement between the Republic of Kosovo, represented by the Ministry of Finance, KOSTT and KfW, for the Development of the Energy Sector (Phase VII), which aims to improve the transmission network.
The Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, said that the value of the grant is 5 million euros and that the funds will be used to increase capacities in this sector.
"In the framework of financial cooperation with bilateral donors, international financial institutions, we plan to negotiate a grant agreement for the energy sector development project, phase seven, transmission network improvement. The value of the grant is five million euros and will be fully channeled to the project's executing agency, which in this case is the KOSTT company. This grant will increase the funds available for the transmission network improvement project with KOSTT," he said.
