Acting Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati, said that business turnover for the first six months of 2025 has hit a "record" of 10.7 billion euros.
According to Murati, this represents an increase of 10.3% compared to the same period last year when this figure was 9.7 billion euros.
To explain this statement, Murat also tried in the comments with an additional statement.
"Coffee was 1 euro and with 100 euros of salary you could buy 100 coffees. If coffee increases to 2 euros, and with 100 euros of salary you can only buy 50 coffees now (instead of 100 coffees), has the turnover increased or has the amount of coffees you bought decreased? The turnover remains 100 euros as it was before, but the amount of coffees you buy has decreased," Murat replied to a commenter.
Regarding this explanation, Berat Rukiqi of LDK said he laughed a lot.
"I couldn't help but react. Even though I had a lot, the MP took coffee as an example (coffee is not a necessary product), to explain purchasing power," Rukiqi wrote, adding: "I have a question for the MP."
"With this "logic": it turns out that now instead of 100 loaves of bread, we are only buying 50 (we are eating less), or instead of 100 liters of milk, we are only buying 50 liters of milk (we are not feeding our children enough)??? The increase in business turnover in the last 4 years has only one explanation: INFLATION."
