During this operation, a person wanted by an international arrest warrant from the state of Germany for criminal offenses related to drug trafficking was detained, the police announced.
The suspect has been identified and detained in accordance with applicable legal procedures.
"During the legitimation, the same person presented foreign identification documents with data that allegedly belong to another person. The competent prosecutor from the Department for Serious Crimes has been notified regarding the case," the announcement states.
By decision of the prosecutor, a detention order was imposed on the suspect.
"The arrested person has been sent to the Detention Center for further legal procedures...Further actions will be taken in coordination with the competent local and international authorities," the announcement states.
