Milan have finalized one of the most sensational transfers of the summer, officializing the arrival of Luka Modric.
The Croatian midfielder, during his presentation, spoke for the first time about the decision to join the Rossoneri and the role that sporting director, Igli Tare, had in this deal.
"It was a very easy decision to accept Milan when Igli Tare called me. His trip to Croatia was very important, it showed how much Milan were interested and how much they believed that I could perform at a high level. That was the turning point in the negotiations. When someone wants to sign you, it is important to explain the project to me. I needed some time to talk to my family, but deep down I knew it was the right choice. I didn't expect it to happen so quickly, but it shows the trust they had in me, I hope I can repay it on the pitch," said Modric.
With this statement, Modric confirmed that Tara's trust and Milan's vision were the key factors that convinced him to leave Real Madrid after more than a successful decade and begin a new adventure in Serie A.
Rossoneri fans are already eagerly awaiting his debut at "San Siro", hoping that the Croatian's experience and class will make the difference in the title race./Express newspaper/
