AC Milan has returned to winning ways in Serie A after three games without a win, defeating Genoa 2:1 in the 37th week, respectively the penultimate round of the Italian championship.
The first half ended goalless, while the home team took the lead early in the second half. Christopher Nkunku converted from the penalty spot in the 50th minute to give Milan the lead.
The red and black team doubled their lead in the 80th minute, when after an assist from Christian Pulisic, the net swung again for the home team.
Genoa managed to narrow the score in the 86th minute with a goal from Franco Vázquez, but it was not enough to avoid defeat.
With this victory, Milan moves to 70 points in third place and comes very close to securing a place in the UEFA Champions League for next season.
On the other hand, Genoa remains in 14th place in the table.
