Leonardo Spinazzola's future at Napoli is becoming increasingly uncertain, as the experienced left-back has yet to receive any signal from the club about extending his contract which expires in June - and his representatives have begun to consider alternatives, with Milan having made contact in recent weeks.
Spinazzola was a key figure in Napoli's Scudetto triumph last season, providing flexibility and energy under Antonio Conte in several positions.
He has continued to contribute this season, recording three goals and three assists in 28 appearances.
However, the silence from Napoli is becoming increasingly deafening, with president Aurelio De Laurentiis aiming to revamp the squad, and at 33, Spinazzola does not fit that profile.
His agent acted immediately, contacting Milan about the possibility of a zero-fee transfer this summer, according to reports from CalcioMercato.
From Milan's side, this move makes sense, as Pervis Estupiñán's short adventure is expected to end and the club will need an option on the left wing of defense.
However, although Milan have been informed of the conditions, they have not taken any concrete steps and Spinazzola is not currently considered a priority target.
A more intriguing possibility remains a return to Juventus, where Spinazzola has grown as a footballer in the academy, but without ever fully establishing himself in the first team.
Giorgio Chiellini, a close friend of the player, has been in contact with his camp in recent days, however, for the moment it is only about preliminary talks.
Spinazzola himself would prefer to stay at Napoli, especially if Conte continues as coach. But that decision seems increasingly out of his hands./Express newspaper/
