One of the leaders of VLEN and mayor of the municipality of Chair, Izet Mexhiti, in an interview with "Top News" in Tirana, also spoke about relations with the leaders of Albania and Kosovo.
Mexhiti said that they see Albania beyond the right and the left.
"We are interested in the Albanian state, we are trying to do our best, the elections are over and there is a new reality in Macedonia, over 100 thousand Albanians voted for VALEN, VALEN governs 10 main municipalities in Macedonia," he said, adding that Albania must accept this reality.
He adds that this is precisely why they want to be in constant correlation with the Albanian government, regardless of the preferences of one party or the other.
"We have no other alternative, Albania is ours too," said Mexhiti.
He also spoke about the first VLEN Congress to be held on May 9, where the co-chair model was chosen.
"Bilall Kasami and I will be co-chairs, Bekim Sali will be the general secretary, Mimoza Musa and Bekim Qoku will be the vice-chairs. The working bodies are working on this," said Mexhiti.
