One of the organizers of the student protest, Mevlan Ademi, has reacted to reports of the detention of Albanian students at the border crossing, asking the authorities to immediately allow their entry into North Macedonia.
In his public reaction, Ademi said that students from Albania are coming peacefully and in solidarity with the protest of Albanian students in Skopje.
"Immediately release our Albanian brothers detained at the border crossing! They are coming in peace, in solidarity and in support of our student cause. Any obstacle to them is an obstacle to our rights and dignity," Ademi declared.
He demanded an urgent response from the competent institutions and allowing students to enter without further delay.
"We demand immediate action and permission for their entry without delay," he stressed.
Ademi also warned of further steps if the authorities do not act quickly.
"If there is no quick intervention and urgent solution, we will be forced to march towards the Ministry of Internal Affairs!" declared the organizer of the student protest.
The ban on students coming from Albania to support the protest in Skopje has caused numerous reactions in public opinion and on social networks.
