US President Donald Trump today offered renewed criticism of Iran, shortly after the country presented its response to a US peace proposal through a Pakistani mediator.
"Iran has been playing games with the United States and the rest of the world for 47 years (LATE, LATE, LATE!)," Trump said in a social media post.
It is not clear whether the US has been able to consider Iran's latest proposal, and the president did not directly mention it in his post, Klankosova.tv reports.
Trump went on to say that Iran "will not laugh anymore!"
The US has drawn a “very clear red line” in its latest proposal, US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz said earlier today. “President (Donald) Trump has been clear that they will never have a nuclear weapon and they cannot hold the economies of the world hostage,” Waltz told “Fox News Sunday.”
