The role of the opposition today is important in these circumstances. It is important that it continuously monitors this Government, that it does not give up on the Association, that it is in accordance with the Constitution, that it is not with a new name, but with a third power.

Faton Abdullah

Kurti is not trusted. He has changed a lot and is not stopping in this regressive process. He has understood that he can only continue to remain in power if he does not keep the promises he has made, but also if at the same time he strengthens even more the political propaganda, namely the populism that is a pillar of his political DNA.

In this regard, things are not going well, because the disappointment of the citizens is great and growing. Aware of this situation, militants of various pro-government types have flourished recently, a barometer that detects the loss of the connection between oppositionism as a promise and being in power as a reality. If this regressive process of not keeping promises by this government is continuing, even when they are major political causes, why do we trust Kurti today, that he will not continue like this and break his promises regarding Zajednica as well.

If we put this issue, that is, that of Kurti's failure to keep his promises, in relation to the Association, are there facts, evidence, and grounded mental calculations that give us the right to conclude that Kurti will not keep this promise either, but will simply create the Union, and that in contradiction with the Constitution, in harmony, not exclusive, with what Serbia will also agree to, and to which it will give another name, that is, which will be the complete opposite of the Union, but only in form, respectively in naming?

Is this possible? I think so and this can be understood correctly, well and makes sense, only if we put this issue in relation to the Martin Berishaj affair. Let's understand that the Martin Berishaj case is so bad, so enigmatic, involving many factors and many financial means. Moreover, this whole affair is going unpunished, as if it were a 20 euro erroneous transfer without the ambassador resigning and with a kind of care of the current rulers, sometimes suppressing and sometimes ignoring news from inside and outside, as if nothing had happened.

What is most worrying, even alarming, in this case is that there is a perverse consequence, an unusual zeal that reeks of enigma a la Agatha Christie, which is done with an unstoppable coordination between the Prime Minister and the President to protect Ambassador Berishaj at all costs, even by praising him to the point of pathetic typifications. Why? Because it seems that if the Ambassador is found guilty, in all likelihood the Kurti Government could be blamed for the guilt that falls on her or those who were in this relationship, even early on and before they were in government. This root cause will simply not be common. If the suspicions are confirmed, it will be that the VV campaign was carried out with Serbian money, or more precisely, with the help and money of Putin, specifically Russia, which apparently does not have this type of involvement in the Balkans. Worse, if this is true, Kurti and VV die politically and fall irrevocably, or in other words, they leave both extinguished and exhausted.

How can the Kurti Government escape the Martin Berishaj affair? By accepting the Association so that they do not accept the murderous campaign receipt with dubious money and income from Serbia with the help of the Ambassador. To accept the Community whose evil with political acrobatics will be less than the evil of the Berishaj affair. To accept the Community with a new name so that the name of Martin Berishaj is forgotten.

Is this all just a conspiracy theory or is there political pragmatism, logical calculation, irrefutable evidence, to reasonably suspect that this is true? As long as there is no real answer for such a large regional affair, with many unknowns and risks, there is no stopping the involvement of the current rulers, there is no correct and independent involvement of the judiciary, doubts are and will remain legitimate.

Viewed from this perspective, one can understand how important the role of the opposition is today in these circumstances. It is important that it continuously monitors this Government, that it does not give up on the Association, that it is in accordance with the Constitution, that it is not with a new name, but with a third power.
