The general director of Sigal Prishtina, Luan Maloku, has made strong accusations against the club's former leadership, speaking of illegal appointments and suspicions of financial mismanagement.
According to Maloku, the entire problematic process began in July, when the old leadership appointed Feriz Zekolli and Arsim Sfirça to leadership positions, a decision that, according to him, was also deemed illegal by the Ministry of Sports.
"This whole process began sometime in July, where the old leadership made a decision and appointed Feriz Zekolli and Arsim Sfirça to the positions of president and general director. All of this resulted in an illegal appointment, which also came from the Ministry of Sports," Maloku declared.
He added that the first reaction came from Plisat fans, who requested a meeting with the then leadership led by Blerand Stavileci, but according to him, they did not find understanding.
Maloku stressed that "Plisat" had constantly requested cooperation with the club and even supported Stavilec's return in 2022 to continue the successes, but claims that their requests were ignored.
According to him, the old leadership was only trying to buy time until the December sponsorship period. He also mentioned a tense assembly, where according to him, state mechanisms and an increased police presence were engaged.
Maloku's most serious accusation relates to the club's finances.
"Upon coming to the office, we have seen that there has been a lot of misuse here and, when I say that if around 700 thousand euros are paid into a club, which were paid in November and December, and in that club when January begins there is no money in the account, this is mismanagement, not to say misuse, but it is the competent bodies. It is very abnormal for 700 thousand euros to evaporate in 30 days," he said.
Maloku did not mention specific individual responsibilities, emphasizing that the final assessment should be made by the competent bodies.
