Political analyst Shkëlzen Maliqi has commented on the current political situation in Kosovo, focusing particularly on the role of the President and the possibilities for overcoming the institutional impasse.
According to him, a solution is possible if all parties assume their responsibilities and act decisively.
"We have nothing to say. Even the President has the right to decree a way out of the impasse with a little courage," Maliqi said, implying that the President's office could play a more active role in resolving the political crisis in the country.
He emphasizes that the expected decision from the Constitutional Court may pave the way for more concrete actions.
"If the Constitutional Court's decision comes out, it can also speed up the process," Maliqi told FrontOnline.
Meanwhile, Maliqi does not rule out the possibility that the opposition could contribute to resolving the impasse by supporting a candidate from the Vetëvendosje Movement:
"Or even the opposition, as a third factor, they too can vote for a VV candidate," he said.
