Drin "makazze" Shaqiri and his team, NAVI, have not reached further than the semifinals at the prestigious Counter-Strike 2 tournament, IEM Cologne.
The Ukrainian team was defeated 2:1 by the Russian team, SPIRIT, writes Gazeta Express.
NAVI started the map, "Mirage", quite well, advancing 7:0, but then everything went wrong for them, losing 13:11 in the end.
On this map, makazze was the best for his team with 22 eliminations, writes Gazeta Express.
On the map "Nuke", NAVI built a 12:2 advantage and needed only one round to close it out, but there SPIRIT came back strong, winning seven rounds in a row.
But, in an unfavorable 4 vs. 2 situation, makazze "exploded" with four eliminations, winning the round and the map and sending the match to the decisive map, "Ancient".
But, in "Ancient" it was SPIRIT that absolutely dominated, scoring a 13:6 victory and qualifying for the final, where it awaits the winner of the Vitality – MOUZ match.
Drin "makazze" Shaqiri was second on his team with the most eliminations, 46 in total, doing quite well in his first major tournament.
