The queen of pop, Madonna, is preparing for her long-awaited musical comeback every day.
The 67-year-old took to Instagram on Monday evening to announce her first album in seven years, and according to sources, she will reveal a release date and preview announcement on Friday (April 17).
Madge's 15th studio album will be a follow-up to her beloved 2005 album, Confessions on a Dance Floor, and she shared a short instrumental snippet with her 20 million Instagram followers, as the words 'Confessions on a Dance Floor' and 'Confessions II' and 'COADF2' appeared on screen.
Shortly after the words faded, a cute image of a silver speaker positioned between her legs appeared on the screen and directed followers to her website.
Madonna has long been announcing her next album
Last year, after it was revealed that she had renewed her contract with Warner Records, she said she was "looking forward to the future, making music," and teased "Confessions 2" by adding: "Back to music, Back to the dance floor, Back to where it all began! COADF – P. 2 2026."
A source told The Sun that fans will know more by the end of the week: "Madonna is ready to enter her new era and, on Friday, fans will finally get to enjoy what she has been working on with Stuart Price. This album has been such a passion project for Madonna."
