The Prime Minister's Media Office has announced the meeting that Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti had today with the senior US official of the Department of Defense, David Baker, at a working dinner hosted by Minister Ejup Maqedonci.
At this working dinner hosted by the Macedonian, Baker was in the company of the Chargé d'Affaires at the United States Embassy in Kosovo, Anu Prattipati.
According to the OPM announcement, bilateral relations between Kosovo and the United States of America and cooperation in the field of defense were among the key topics of discussion.
"Prime Minister Kurti briefed Deputy Assistant Secretary Baker on developments and progress in the country, defense investments during this mandate, and the need to increase trade exchanges and increase investments. He thanked Mr. Baker and the United States of America for the vital support they have provided to the Republic of Kosovo and the Kosovo Security Force over the years, as well as for its continued role in security and peace," the announcement states.
The OPM also announces that Acting Prime Minister Kurti also expressed the full readiness and willingness of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to further strengthen relations with the United States in the field of defense, including the defense industry.
