Minister of Culture and Tourism, Zoran Ljutkov, regarding communication with UNESCO and the challenges in the process of protecting and managing cultural and natural heritage, said that a visit by UNESCO representatives to our country is planned.
He assessed that the situation is not good in some aspects, but emphasized that institutions are in constant communication and monitoring with international troops, adding that some issues will have to be resolved differently.
"It's not good because we have the opportunity to explain the real problems to UNESCO. I think they were not fully aware of the situation," Lyutkov emphasized on the "ClickPlus" show.
He announced that a visit is planned by some of the members of the UNESCO commission, who are expected to come to Ohrid in May, where they will get to know the situation up close.
According to the minister, the goal is for international representatives to see firsthand the real situation and the challenges facing the region.
"When we explain to them that there are problems in certain locations, such as issues with cemeteries, it is important for them to see the situation up close," added Lyutkov.
