Liverpool ended the Premier League season with a 1-1 draw against Brentford at Anfield, in a match where Mohamed Salah had a brilliant performance in his farewell home game.
The match started slowly due to the high temperatures, with the first serious chance coming from Ryan Gravenberch, who won a free kick in the dangerous area.
Salah hit the post with a powerful shot and immediately showed his dangerousness.
Goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher stopped several dangerous chances from Liverpool, while for Brentford, Kevin Schade had a golden opportunity stopped by Alisson Becker.
In the second half, Salah was crucial in creating Liverpool's goal, assisting Curtis Jones with a precise cross for the lead.
However, Brentford equalised through Schade, who headed in to make the final score 1-1.
Salah was substituted with around 20 minutes to go, receiving applause from Liverpool fans, in a symbolic moment for his Anfield career.
Also bid farewell was Andy Robertson, who also left without a win in his final game after a long spell at the club.
Despite the draw, Liverpool secured qualification for the Champions League, while Brentford ended the season in disappointment after a poor run at the end of the championship./Express newspaper/
