Lisa Kudrow has revealed in more detail her experience during the filming of the series "Friends", saying that behind the scenes there was an often harsh and uncomfortable atmosphere.
According to her, during the recordings that were made in front of an audience live, of about 400 people, the pressure was great.
If an actor misread a line or failed to deliver a line properly, the scriptwriters could react with insulting and derogatory comments.
These criticisms, according to Kudrow, were direct and sometimes too harsh to bear.
She also pointed out that inappropriate conversations often took place in the writers' room, which was dominated by men.
They stayed up late at night working on scripts and, according to her, also discussed sexual fantasies about the actresses of the series, especially Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox.
This situation, according to Kudrow, created an "intense" and uncomfortable environment, even though most of these conversations took place behind closed doors. However, Kudrow added that she personally tried not to be too affected by this behavior.
She justified it by saying that the writers worked long hours and under great pressure to complete the episodes, so they often expressed their frustration in inappropriate ways.
Her stance was that, as long as the comments were made behind her back, they didn't matter much to her.
