Edon Zhegrova is expected to leave Lille OSC, after club president Olivier Létang revealed that the club has no intention of keeping him beyond this summer.
The winger, who joined Lille from Basel in 2022, is entering the final year of his contract and has repeatedly expressed his desire to leave for a bigger club.
During a press conference, Létang clarified Lille's stance towards the Kosovo star:
"Edon has expressed his desire to leave. It doesn't seem appropriate to me to keep him in the team with only one year left on his contract, given the economic situation of French football. [His departure is something] we are anticipating."
With this in mind, the club president added that, despite the approach of Marius Broholm, Lille will be looking for another winger to have four players available on the flanks:
