Democratic League of Kosovo MP Ermal Sadiku stated that this party has made all possible efforts to contribute to resolving the political situation and reaching an agreement on the election of the president, but according to him, the process does not depend on the LDK.
Sadiku emphasized that the LDK remains open to both a consensual solution and a political agreement, but underlined that there is a lack of will from the other side to reach an agreement.
"We are where we have been. We are doing our best on our part, what we can do. We are also for consensual solutions, we are also for political agreements, but we cannot do more than that. We have already done everything that is expected of the LDK," he declared to FrontOnline.
According to him, although meetings have been held and concrete ideas have been given, the necessary agreement for the election of the president has not yet been reached.
"We haven't reached an agreement yet, but we should be able to do something like that. We can give ideas, but at the end of the day, LVV has 57 MPs, we have 15," said Sadiku.
He added that the LDK has participated in meetings and communicated with all political parties, attempting to make its contribution, but stressed that the main responsibility falls on the parliamentary majority.
"We have participated in meetings, we have talked with all political parties, we have tried to contribute, but this does not depend on us. A political agreement may be reached later, but there must be a will for this, but there is no will from LVV once and for all," Sadiku declared to FrontOnline.
