Kyle Walker has officially announced his retirement from international football with England, ending a decade-long chapter with the Three Lions.
The 35-year-old defender ends his career with 96 caps for England, just four games shy of reaching 100. He made his debut in 2011 against Spain and has represented the country at five major tournaments, including being part of the teams that reached back-to-back European Championship finals under Gareth Southgate.
Walker has not played for England since last summer and was left out of Thomas Tuchel's plans. He currently plays for Burnley FC, where he joined from Manchester City in the summer.
In a farewell message, Walker stressed that representing England has been the greatest honour of his career and thanked his teammates, coaches, fans and family for their support throughout the journey.
