Advisor to the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and official of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Jeton Zulfaj, has reacted after recent developments in the Kosovo Assembly and the decree issued by President Vjosa Osmani to dissolve the Kosovo Assembly and call for elections.
Through a post on Facebook, he emphasized that the Vetëvendosje Movement, according to him, acted in full compliance with the Constitution throughout the entire procedure.
"The Vetëvendosje Movement fully respected the Constitution," Zulfaj wrote.
He emphasized that the ruling party has taken all necessary constitutional actions to conduct the process of electing the country's president.
According to him, two candidates have been proposed to enable the race for the post of president, while he criticized the opposition parties, emphasizing that they have not presented any candidates.
Zulfaj added that the session was interrupted due to the absence of deputies, emphasizing that it will continue as soon as their participation in the hall is ensured.
"The session was adjourned due to the absence of deputies and will continue when they return to the hall, as is their constitutional obligation," he emphasized.
In his reaction, he accused the opposition of boycotting institutional processes, citing similar situations from last year.
"Last year they wasted our time boycotting the election of the Speaker of the Assembly; now they are trying to do the same with the election of the president. But the president must be elected," Zulfaj wrote.
