Prime Minister Albin Kurti, on the 18th anniversary of Independence, received the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, in a meeting.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister's Office said that President Begaj expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the people and state of Kosovo on the 18th anniversary of the declaration of Independence.
Meanwhile, the OPM said that he congratulated Kurti on his new mandate and "wished him success in fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Kosovo for well-being and prosperity, as well as the government's objectives."
"They discussed bilateral relations, developments in the country and the region, as well as the results of previous intergovernmental agreements, while reiterating the mutual will to further expand cooperation sectors and further deepen interstate relations," the announcement states.
Kurti thanked Begaj for the congratulations, for the visit to Kosovo and for the meeting at the Prime Minister's Office, while the OPM said that he is the first president that Kurti welcomes to his office in this new mandate.
