The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has congratulated the Vëllaznimi basketball club on their triumph in the Unique League.
The team from Gjakova scored a victory in the final 91:88, defeating Sigal Prishtina after overtime, writes Gazeta Express.
This was Vëllaznimi's first trophy in 29 years.

“Vëllaznimi of Gjakova, champion of the Unique League! A very even and dramatic game between both teams that did not give up for a moment. A match that went beyond regular time and in the end Vëllaznimi triumphed over Sigal Prishtina with a score of 91-88. Congratulations to the basketball players, the club, the fans and all of Gjakova. In this year's edition of the Unique League, Besëlidhja of Lezha took third place.”
