Kurti seeks help from expatriates: I tried everything, the opposition is blocking, register to vote as soon as possible

Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has invited expatriates to register to vote by mail for the June 7 extraordinary parliamentary elections.

Through a video posted on Facebook, he said that he is being prevented from working and that his opponents "basically do not respect the election result."

Kurti said that the process of registering expatriates to vote this time is "extremely important", while adding that he is "on the right path" and that he is not stopping "working".

"The opposition's only response to the citizen vote was the blockade," he said.

Kurti said he tried "everything" to avoid having another election.

"We tried everything. We were the only ones proposing solutions with a series of offers so that the country would not go to elections. We refused, we refused," he said.

Kurti told the expatriates that "all those who cannot come to Kosovo to vote physically should register as soon as possible."

He told the expatriates to also invite their "family, friends and well-wishers" to vote.
