Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that new elections would produce a similar result with "small differences."
He said he cannot get the 80 deputies needed to elect the President.
"I have previously seen readiness, but I have not seen zeal for new repeated elections, now I am also seeing zeal for new elections, which will take us more time. I will not be able to see right now what those solutions can be because it is about the quorum of 80 deputies in the hall that they must ensure jointly. We cannot expect new elections to be held with repeated campaigns where now we have to say that I get 80 deputies at least. In this situation, I do not believe that repeated elections are a new solution, on the contrary, there will be a kind of continuation of the legislative and institutional agony in general that is unnecessary and unfair. And at least the elections will cost about 10 million euros. It is difficult to get by with a pair of new elections without 10 million euros to repeat the result, there may be some small movement, but I do not see major differences. We are waiting for it the Constitutional Court's verdict so that within these 60 days we can conclude the process of electing the President."
