The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Abu Dhabi has announced that it is in constant communication with the authorities of the United Arab Emirates and institutions in Kosovo to consider the possibility of evacuating Kosovo citizens, in the event of the continuation of the airspace blockade.

The embassy has called on all Kosovo citizens who are in the territory of the Emirates - both stranded visitors and residents - to report to the diplomatic mission if they have not already done so.

"The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Abu Dhabi informs all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo - stranded visitors and residents - that it is in constant communication with the authorities of the host country, with state institutions in Kosovo, as well as with our Embassy in Riyadh, to consider the fastest and safest option in the event of the evacuation of our citizens," it said in its announcement. Citizens who are in the United Arab Emirates and have not yet registered are invited to contact the Embassy via email. [email protected] or to the phone number/WhatsApp +971 54 709 2109, sending personal data according to the travel document and the city where they are located.

According to the Embassy, ​​registration is necessary for processing requests in the event of evacuation, including providing emergency passage at the Saudi Arabian border.

"This is necessary so that your requests in the event of evacuation can be processed for emergency passage at the border of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a procedure which is carried out by our Embassy in Abu Dhabi for all our citizens in the Emirates, in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Riyadh - Saudi Arabia," it is further emphasized.

The embassy has announced that, in the event that conditions are created for an organized emergency evacuation, in coordination with the authorities of the United Arab Emirates, Kosovo institutions and Saudi authorities, citizens will be immediately notified of possible flights from airports such as Jeddah or Riyadh.
