Kosovo citizens who are abroad on election day, June 7, will have the opportunity to vote.
This was announced by Valmir Elezi, the spokesperson for the CEC, who added that citizens must register during the period for registering voters outside Kosovo, which began on May 6 and will end on May 17, 2026.
"The Central Election Commission, in addition to enabling the registration of citizens living abroad to vote by mail or at diplomatic missions, also provides such an opportunity to citizens of Kosovo who are not in Kosovo on election day, that is, who are temporarily abroad," Elezi told Express.
Elezi also added that the registration procedure is the same as that for registering voters outside Kosovo.
"Their registration procedure is the same as that of Kosovo citizens living abroad. Only in the section where the necessary documents for registration are requested, the applicant must attach a document proving the address of the person with whom he is temporarily staying, or other proof of residence for specific cases, such as a hotel reservation, dormitory, etc.," Elezi continued.
