Reports from Italy claim that Douglas Luiz has been informed by Juventus that he is no longer part of the club's plans for the 2025–26 season and is free to look for a new club, following a disappointing season following his expensive move from Aston Villa.
The Brazilian midfielder, who was signed for €50m last summer, has failed to live up to expectations, amassing just 516 minutes in 19 Serie A appearances last season - an average of just 27 minutes per game.
The 27-year-old has already been linked with several potential moves away from Turin this summer, including Nottingham Forest and most recently Leeds United.
According to Calciomercato.com, Juventus have decided not to give him a "second chance", with new coach Igor Tudor and his staff having assessed that the player is not reliable to be part of the team's future project.
It is also said that Douglas Luiz himself wants to play regularly, as he aims to be part of the Brazil national team in the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in North America under the leadership of Carlo Ancelotti.
His future remains uncertain, but one thing is clear - Juventus no longer see him as part of their plans for the future.
