The Association of Kosovo Journalists (AGK) has reacted after journalist Ardiana Thaçi - Mehmeti's personal data was shared in a group with 70 thousand members on Discord.
The announcement states that the journalist received dozens of sexually explicit messages on Thursday night from members of this group.
AGK has called on the Police and the Prosecution to urgently investigate the group's administrators and work towards its immediate closure.

The Association of Kosovo Journalists (AGK) is deeply concerned after it was announced that the personal data (phone number) of Kiks Kosova journalist Ardiana Thaçi - Mehmeti was illegally distributed in a group on the Discord network, which has 70 thousand members.
The journalist received dozens of sexually explicit messages on Thursday night from members of this group. This comes a few months after journalist Thaçi-Mehmeti reported extensively on a similar Telegram group, known as AlbKings, where women's numbers and personal details are shared with the aim of denigrating them.
The AGK strongly condemns this horrific online harassment of the journalist, and sees it as a new campaign of revenge for her work and reporting. The AGK stands in full solidarity with her.
The AGK calls on the Police and the Prosecution to urgently investigate the administrators of the group and work towards its immediate closure. The AGK also expects that the initiators will be held accountable before the courts.
